It uses regular expressions to locate template logic marks and replace them by PHP code that is executed to generate the processed template output.

It supports several types of template logic constructs besides simple replacement like loops, including separate templates, conditional processing, etc..

The results of processed templates can be cached in files to avoid subsequent template processing overhead.
